The Medical Communications Lead, Respiratory, will be accountable for development of the global medical communications strategy, establishment of scientific platforms, and implementation of the medical education and communications plans for respiratory, with a focus on Dupilumab and Itepekimab in COPD. As part of the broader Scientific Communications Team at Sanofi, the Medical Communications Lead will collaborate cross-functionally to lead medical communications and education internally and externally, in preparing for key upcoming launches across respiratory indications.

Main Responsibilities:
Supporting the creation of annual and long-range global medical communications plans and budgets for Dupilumab and Itepekimab
Contributing to the development of medical affairs, publications, KOL engagement, medical education, and congress plans
Establishing strategically aligned, balanced, and accurate scientific communication points to guide the development of internal and external global and regional communications resources
Supporting development of medical/scientific content for scientific exchange, advisory boards, educational symposia/programs, and training
Facilitating the development and implementation of internal medical communication activities, educational materials, and platforms in preparing global and regional medical teams for launch
Ensuring delivery of high-quality, fair-balanced, accurate medical communications deliverables in accordance with established timelines, compliance guidelines/policies, and budgets
Managing external vendors/medical agencies assisting with medical content planning and execution
Overseeing internal and external medical communication related to congress activities
Engaging in scientific exchange with key thought leaders and societies in the medical community, including for the purposes of seeking insights through consulting and advisory boards, validating scientific platforms, and collaborating on educational initiatives
About You
Basic Qualifications:
Advanced scientific or clinical degree in the life sciences (e.g., Ph.D., Pharm.D., MD)
Experience in scientific communications/ medical affairs within pharma/biotech industry
Ability to think strategically, critically analyze and synthesize complicated data and scientific information
Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications:
Medical/Scientific/Clinical background in immunology, respiratory and/or dermatology
Experience managing medical communications agencies
Ability to collaborate and build solid working relationships cross-functionally
Strong leadership skills and ability to plan and organize effectively
Reporting to: Global Scientific Director-Dupilumab Respiratory
Travel: Approx. 15% travel (in non-COVID environment)
Preferred Location: Position is based in Cambridge, MA

The salary range for this position is:
$148,500.00 - $214,500.00All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
