Position title: Product Owner, Digital Portfolio

Location: Toronto, ON
About the job
Ready to push the limits of what’s possible? Join Sanofi in one of our corporate functions and you can play a vital part in the performance of our entire business while helping to make an impact on millions around the world.
We're looking for a Product Owner to drive the discovery, delivery, and continuous improvement of a connected suite of digital portfolio products. You'll work at the intersection of user needs, data, and organizational strategy — defining problems worth solving, shaping measurable outcome-based goals, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver real value. This is a hands-on role for someone who communicates with clarity, thrives in ambiguity, and knows how to keep a team moving in the right direction.
About Sanofi
We’re an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma company committed to improving people’s lives and delivering compelling growth. Our deep understanding of the immune system – and innovative pipeline – enables us to invent medicines and vaccines that treat and protect millions of people around the world. Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.
Main Responsibilities:
Own the Problem, Not Just the Backlog Define and frame product problems using user insights, data, and organizational context — not assumptions. Use discovery techniques like interviews, journey mapping, and assumption testing to build a deep understanding of what's worth solving. Build roadmaps grounded in evidence, not just business requests.
Drive Dual-Track Discovery and Delivery Lead a product trio (Product Owner, Engineering, Design) to continuously explore and deliver value. Define hypotheses and learning goals each sprint. Run experiments to validate ideas before committing full engineering investment — balancing discovery and delivery with clarity and adaptability.
Shape the Product With Clarity Define clear, measurable outcomes tied to user behavior and product value. Prioritize work based on evidence and impact, not urgency or pressure. Create outcome-oriented sprint goals that give teams a shared sense of purpose — not just lists of tickets.
Build Shared Understanding Use story mapping, journey mapping, and collaborative design sessions to align teams around the why before jumping to the how. Bring stakeholders into discovery, testing, and co-creation at the right moments. Make dependencies, trade-offs, and priorities visible and legible across the team.
Engage & Align Stakeholders Work closely with business SMEs, leadership, compliance, tech, and design. Use storytelling to rally diverse stakeholders around problems and outcomes. Bring stakeholders into discovery and co-creation where possible, building trust and shared ownership of the product direction.
Measure and Learn Define value metrics and track them post-release. Learn from real user behavior, not just delivery velocity. Use data — including insights from cloud data platforms and GenAI capabilities — to guide decisions, adapt direction, and fuel iteration.
Enable & support end-users through change: Prepare and run end-user training, coordinate rollout communications, provide hypercare after releases, and build lightweight support assets (how-to, walkthroughs, FAQs). Turn user feedback into actionable improvements and measurable adoption gains.
About You

Skilled at balancing discovery and delivery with clarity and adaptability

Familiar with story mapping, MVPs, hypothesis framing, and assumption testing
Track record of problem-solving and overcoming roadblocks in complex environments with a hands-on "get things done" mindset
Experience in enterprise workflows, data-heavy platforms, or AI/LLM-based products is a strong asset
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required with 5 years of experience
Strong communicator and facilitator; able to align diverse stakeholders including executive audiences
Cross-functional leadership and influencing skills with the ability to think strategically and partner across business and technology teams
Analytical and data-driven; comfortable using metrics to guide product decisions
