Job title: Senior Director, Commercial Solutions and Strategic Initiatives

Location: Cambridge, MA

About the Job

Join the team transforming care for people with immune challenges, rare diseases, cancers, and neurological conditions. In Specialty Care, you’ll help deliver breakthrough treatments that bring hope to patients with some of the highest unmet needs.

At Sanofi, we chase the miracles of science to improve people's lives. Sanofi Specialty Care North America (SPC NA) is building and commercializing a groundbreaking portfolio of advanced medicines for rare and immune-mediated diseases — and reimagining how those medicines reach and benefit patients.

As the future of medicine evolves, so must the way we deliver it. We are transforming our commercialization model to meet patients and clinicians where they are — developing intelligent, technology-supported solutions that add meaningful value across the care journey. This means building tools, pathways, and partnerships that integrate our therapeutics into care systems in ways that are smarter, faster, and more connected than ever before.

We are seeking a Senior Director, Commercial Solution & Strategic Initiatives to lead the design and development of next-generation tools and solutions that advance how care is delivered and experienced. This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, emerging AI technologies, and healthcare delivery innovation — driving Sanofi's ambition to complement and elevate traditional medicine through technology-supported care.

This role is full-time and located in Cambridge, MA.

About Sanofi

We’re an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma company committed to improving people’s lives and delivering compelling growth. Our deep understanding of the immune system – and innovative pipeline – enables us to invent medicines and vaccines that treat and protect millions of people around the world. Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Vision & Frontier Thinking

  • Define and champion a bold, forward-looking strategy for integrating intelligent tools and care pathways into Sanofi's therapeutic portfolio and care delivery ecosystem

  • Work closely with disease / brand teams to understand core business needs and translate innovation opportunities into breakthrough ideas that impact value creation

  • Identify white-space opportunities where technology-enabled solutions can address unmet patient needs, improve clinician workflows, and strengthen care coordination

  • Translate macro healthcare trends — including shifts in care delivery models, reimbursement landscapes, and emerging AI capabilities — into actionable product and solution roadmaps

  • Serve as an internal thought leader on the convergence of therapeutics, technology, and care transformation, helping shape Sanofi's long-term commercial vision

2. Solution Design & Execution Pull-Through

  • Lead end-to-end solution design for technology-powered care tools spanning clinical decision support, workflow optimization, and care coordination that have impact in Sanofi’s disease areas and link to broader business objectives

  • Apply deep expertise in product development methodologies combined with disease-area knowledge to drive to problem-solution fit and create measurable value for patients, customers, and Sanofi

  • Build and leverage internal capabilities — including data science, engineering, and clinical expertise — alongside external partnerships with health tech innovators and platform providers to accelerate development

  • Own the full arc of execution: moving solutions from concept through MVP, pilot, and scale — with clear success metrics, operational playbooks, and continuous improvement loops built in from the start

3. Business Case Development & Partner Alliance Management

  • Develop compelling, evidence-based business cases that articulate value propositions for patients, providers, payers, and Sanofi

  • Identify, evaluate, and cultivate strategic partnerships with technology companies, health systems, digital health innovators, and care delivery organizations

  • Lead alliance governance to ensure partnerships deliver mutual value, maintain strategic alignment, and navigate evolving payer and policy landscapes

About You

Background & Experience:

  • Advanced degree in medicine or life sciences (MD, or PhD) required; MBA or equivalent business training a plus

  • 10+ years of progressive experience spanning healthcare and life sciences strategy, product or solution development, and commercial operations

  • Experience in developing and executing initiatives that improve brand performance across marketing, sales, access or patient experience

  • Demonstrated experience in digital health, AI/ML applications in healthcare, or technology-enabled care delivery

  • Track record of bringing products or solutions to life in complex, regulated environments — from concept through commercialization

  • Experience with value-based care models, health system partnerships, or payer and policy engagement

Mindset & Capabilities:

  • Visionary yet pragmatic — able to paint a compelling picture of the future and build the roadmap to get there

  • Thrives in ambiguity; energized by fast-paced, high-growth environments where the playbook doesn't yet exist

  • Builder mentality: biased toward action, prototyping, and learning by doing.

Why Choose Us?

  • Bring the miracles of science to life alongside a supportive, future-focused team.

  • Discover endless opportunities to grow your talent and drive your career, whether it’s through a promotion or lateral move, at home or internationally.

  • Enjoy a thoughtful, well-crafted rewards package that recognizes your contribution and amplifies your impact.

  • Take good care of yourself and your family, with a wide range of health and wellbeing benefits including high-quality healthcare, prevention and wellness programs and at least 14 weeks’ gender-neutral parental leave.
