The Launch Franchise Head is a pivotal leadership role that sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and cross-functional collaboration. You will be the architect of launch excellence, driving the successful introduction of priority assets from pre-launch planning through market establishment. About the Job
Strategic Context:
The Launch Franchise Head is a critical role responsible for driving launch readiness activities across multiple high-impact therapeutic areas, ensuring flawless execution of launch excellence frameworks across the Launch Hub where applicable.
Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Launch Execution:
- Drive local implementation of launch strategies for assigned therapeutic areas and priority assets
- Deploy the launch excellence framework locally, defining critical success factors, pre- and post-launch KPIs aligned with global standards, and establishing timelines for successful launch execution
- Lead the development and execution of the long-term franchise vision, ensuring strategic alignment and commercial excellence
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Lead and inspire Brand/Launch Leads and salesforce across various therapeutic areas to maximize commercial success of promoted assets
- Build and develop a high-performing team capable of executing complex, multi-asset launch strategies
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance:
- Establish robust project management, governance, and change management processes to support launch activities
- Collaborate with and coach local teams across Medical, Commercial, Public Affairs, and Market Access functions to ensure deep understanding of launch strategies and industry best practices
- Partner with cross-functional teams to localize and implement critical launch activities across the pre-launch continuum
Business Planning & Financial Management:
- Contribute to comprehensive local business cases, ensuring strong commercial rationale for brand investments
- Oversee local commercial launch budgets, monitor expenses, optimize resource allocation, and deliver regular financial reports to senior management
Risk Management & Launch Readiness:
- Map, monitor, and track core activities across all functional teams to ensure launch readiness and milestone achievement
- Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies to address potential impacts on launch timelines and deliverables
- Lead launch readiness governance with global and local stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and ensuring strategic alignment
Operational Excellence:
- Manage ad-hoc requests, resource allocation, and internal launch communications to support seamless execution
About You
Soft Skills:
- Ability to collaborate with a range of different functions at global and country level to achieve outcomes
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including written and verbal communication of information and recommendations at management level as well as global and cross-functional communication
- Strong interpersonal skills reflecting cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Unique ability to manage group/team dynamics and resolve conflicts
- Solution-oriented and pragmatic mindset
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to build and scale businesses in emerging therapeutic areas
Technical Skills:
- Ability to synthesize complex and diverse inputs to a problem and recommend solutions
- Strong planning and PMO skills with the ability to lead, move at pace, and simplify large complex programs / PMO certification preferred
- Strong Medical/Market Access acumen
- Experience of external/customer interactions
- Robust experience with contributing to global/country brand plans
- Strategic business planning and P&L management experience
Experience in Sales & Marketing Leadership Roles:
- Progressive experience in Marketing/Sales leadership roles, including development of therapeutic area strategy, positioning, and development of new disease areas
- Proven track record of delivering launches in new greenfield therapy areas
- Preferred: successful launch experience in specific therapeutic areas
- Medical Affairs/Market Access experience or acumen
- Experience managing multi-therapeutic area portfolios is highly desirable
- Fluent in English and Turkish
