Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) plays a critical role in keeping our site running safely, reliably, and compliantly. From capital projects to hands‑on equipment reliability, our work enables uninterrupted production every day. Within E&M, the Clean Utilities & Sustainability division ensures a dependable and sustainable supply of electricity, steam, water, and other critical utilities, supporting both operational excellence and Sanofi’s Planet Care ambitions.

Main responsibilities:
Develop and execute sustainability programs aligned with Sanofi Planet Care strategies. Work collaboratively within Engineering and across departments to ensure operational efficiency and to identify and implement projects to reduce the environmental footprint of the site
Responsible for data management and reporting for all utilities (NG, Water, Electricity, etc) and planet care projects. Activities include tracking and reporting consumption, identifying trends, setting reduction targets, quantifying and reporting projects and implementing improvement plans
Manage budgets related to utilities consumption, conservation projects, and sustainability initiatives and identify opportunities to drive cost savings through energy efficiency and water reduction
Lead Planet Care initiatives in alignment with Global Engineering, including Digital Energy Monitoring, Resource Advisor, HVAC Optimization, Energy Roadmap and Water Roadmap
Analyze utilities usage and coordinate on‑site energy audits to identify optimization opportunities
Work collaboratively with HSE to identify environmental compliance concerns and develop projects to address gaps (wastewater, refrigerants, air emissions, etc.)
Ensure alignment with HSE management systems; manage ISO 50001 certification, co‑chair monthly governance meetings, provide updates to PMO and site master planning, and support internal and network audits
Participate participate in the Sustainability Community of Practice (COP) network
About you
Education / Experience / Skills:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 + years of relevant experience
A degree in in engineering/science is preferred
P.Eng and/or C.E.M. designation preferred
Experience with the delivery of projects
Demonstrated success working across organizations in highly cross-functional team environment
Must be able to establish strong working relationships with stakeholders (Quality, Operations, Maintenance, HSE) to ensure high quality deliverables aligned with site requirements.
Demonstrated success leading and coaching technical teams to achieve desired technical results.
Experience with continuous improvement, management systems, environmental compliance
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and technical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
Strong people skills with experience in managing unionized team with demonstrated ability to pro-actively work with cross functional teams
Understand SMS tools and help drive and implement new ways of working
Fundamental understanding of industrial production environment and maintenance & engineering practices
